of Winchester, Massachusetts, is the President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Shelter Island Fund. Since 1980 he has been the head of a real estate company specializing in conservation development. He is a partner in the Carlisle Group, a real estate investment company. Mr. Mannis served on the Winchester Conservation Commission from 1996 – 2000, and as its Chair from 1998 – 2000. He is President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Winchester Land Trust.

george_picGeorge F. Fiske, Jr.
of Sherborn, Massachusetts, is the Clerk and a member of the Board of Directors of the Shelter Island Fund. He is President of Fiske Capital Management, Inc., and Fiske Investment Company. He is a Corporator, trustee and member of the audit committee of the Middlesex Savings Bank and a partner in the Carlisle Group, a real estate investment company. Mr. Fiske is a member of the Boards of Directors of the Upper Charles Conservation Land Trust and the Sherborn Rural Land Foundation, among many non-profit organizations. He has served as Chairman of Metrowest Healthcare, Inc. and of the 4-H Foundation. Mr. Fiske has held a number of municipal offices in Sherborn, including Chair of its Conservation Commission.

welles_picWelles C. Hatch
of Carlisle, Massachusetts, is the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of the Shelter Island Fund. He is Chief Financial Officer of New Vision Systems, a software company providing advanced process control solutions to the microelectronic manufacturing industry. He was previously Vice-President for Finance at Con-nect, Inc., an educational software company, from 1999 – 2001, Vice-President for Finance of Fortress FAE World-Wide and Fine Arts Express, Inc., a fine arts logistics company, from 1996 – 1999 and a Vice President of USTrust Bank in Boston from 1990 – 1996. Mr. Hatch is a member of the Board of Directors of the First Federal Savings Bank of East Hartford, Connecticut, and a member of its Loan Committee with a particular interest in community reinvestment. From 1993 – 1995 Mr. Hatch was a member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity/Boston, and its Chair from 1994 – 1995.
